HOBOKEN — Councilwoman Carol Marsh announced her resignation at Wednesday night’s City Council meeting.
Marsh read a tearful letter to the public and members of the council stating that personal issues have unfortunately come before her obligation to the City Council.
Members of the council spoke, thanking Marsh for her service and offering heartfelt apologies for her personal situation.
The resignation is effective as of Oct 3.
Also at the meeting, officials sparred with Hoboken Housing Authority Director Carmelo Garcia over an agreement that he said was urgent in nature, and he wanted it to be discussed that night.
