A funeral mass was offered Oct. 3 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Frances Ciriello, 84, a lifelong resident of Hoboken. She passed away Sept. 28 at Englewood Hospital. Frances retired as the Physical Education Instructor for the Girls program after 36 years in the Hoboken School System. Her devotion and love for education greatly affected the lives of her students. A graduate of Panzer School of Physical Education and Health, Frances was inducted into the Hoboken High School, Demarest Sports Hall of Fame in 2010. Mrs. Ciriello and her late husband John managed the White Sands Beach Club in Long Branch, New Jersey. Frances was predeceased by her husband John in 2006; four sisters, Antoinette Marinko, Camille De Stefano, Virginia Collins, Eleanor Capone; and one brother Edward Capone. She will be missed by her daughter Anita Lau and her husband Jim; her sons, Patrick Ciriello and his wife Soa, and Transit Police Officer Michael and his wife Jessica. A great joy in her life were her four grandchildren, Ashley, Caroline, Bella, and Michael. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
