‘Thank you, Dr. Wong’

To the Editor:

I am writing this letter in regard to a very special doctor who saved my life. His name is Doctor Wong. Last year in May, I had just finished work. I just parked my bus in the garage next to my house on 22nd Street and Prospect Avenue. I drive the bus for the Broadway Bus company. I came into the house and felt tired. My friend said I did not look right. Terry, who watches my daughter when I am at work, took me to the ER at Bayonne Medical Center, where they told me I was having a heart attack.
As I was walking in, Dr. Wong was there. He ran tests on me and he found out I had two other heart attacks the same day. My heart was in bad shape, so he stabilized me along with the rest of the staff at BMC. He then sent me to Beth Israel in Newark. Dr. Wong contacted Dr. Sanders, who performed major heart surgery. I was able to recover and go back to work. Now, just recently, two times I had to go back to the hospital with an infection in my sternum leading to my heart and liver. Dr. Wong, Dr. Boghossian, Doc. Chadry, and Dr. Smith all took care of me. I had a bad infection in my body and they all came together and helped me. The nurses and people at BMC were there 24/7 and saw that I was okay when doctors were not around.
Now, because of them and all these people, I am alive and ready for my next step. I now have a pacemaker and if it wasn’t for all these people, especially for Dr. Wong, I would not be here to say thank you to all of you for everything you have done for me.
