HOBOKEN — Hoboken Health Stop, Jersey City Medical Center’s after hours walk-in care facility at 2 Hudson Street in Hoboken, will be closed temporarily as a result of water damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.
“The building itself experienced extensive flooding on the first floor and repairs are being made,” said Mark Rabson, a hospital spokesperson. “We’re confident that Hoboken Health Stop will be re-opened and back to normal hours within the next few weeks.”
He said that patients will be able to continue to use the hospital’s new online appointment system to select a projected treatment time for non-threatening conditions at the hospital’s emergency room. Until the storm, patients also had the option to use Hoboken Health Stop for minor illnesses and injuries.
The urgent care center is normally open Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Located near the PATH station, the center offers access to people returning from work. No appointments are necessary and the basic fee is $35.
