Funeral services were held Nov.19 for David Tesser, 93, of Secaucus, formerly of Boca Raton, Hackensack and North Bergen. He passed away Nov. 18. Dave was a WWII Army and Air Force veteran, and the owner of the West Side Kosher Meat Market, Jersey City; a partner in E & F Kosher Butchers, North Bergen, and then employed by Ma’adan, Teaneck. Dave was the son of Jacob and Sara Leah Tesser and the husband of the late Betty Golipsky Tesser. He was the father of three children: his son, Steven and his wife Judy of Teaneck, parents of Barry and Scott and his wife Renee and their children Braeden, Logan and Peyton; his daughter Arlene Tesser Lichtenfeld and her husband Sam of Bayonne, parents of Michael and Jeffrey; his son Irving (Bill) Tesser of Teaneck, father of Shira Tesser Strauss and her husband Daniel and their children Yakov, Elisheva, Avigail and Eliyahu and; Mechal Tesser Fischman and her husband Yair and their children Hadassa, Gedalya and Yakov Aharon. Dave was one of nine children and is survived by his sisters Pearl Tesser Hirschbein (Joe) and Frances Tesser, brothers Arthur (Barbara) and Herbert (Nanette) and his sister in law, Doris Greenwald Tesser. Predeceased by brothers Murray and his wife Dorothy, Charles, and Alvin ‘Ushy’ and a sister Rose Tesser Balk and her husband Hyman. Services arranged by the Wien and Wien Memorial Chapel, Hackensack.
