UNION CITY AND BEYOND — On Monday afternoon, black smoke billowed from the area near the old Yardley Soap factory in Union City, just above the 14th Street Viaduct in Hoboken. The apparent fire could be seen from Hoboken around 3:30 p.m. (pictured). We are gathering details and will post an update later today if the blaze continues.
