Funeral services have been held for Georgiana Griffith, 73. She died Nov. 22 joining the love of her life, Raymond Dorr. She was a lifelong resident of Hoboken and known to close family and friends as “Cheekie”. She worked for Onyx Chemical in Jersey City for over 25 years before going to the Port Authority of NY/NJ. Georgiana was a diehard Yankees fan, especially admiring Derek Jeter. After retiring she enjoyed going on trips to Atlantic City, playing poker and watching action movies. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Rita Bronee and her brother George Bronee, Jr. She is survived by her son Robert Griffith; sister Joan Bronee Godette; nieces Jean Sorensen and husband Chris, Joan Bardick and husband Joseph; and greatniece Jacqueline Bardick, and sisterinlaw Cathy Bronee; as well as many cousins and friends. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
