Once again, St. Peter’s Prep heads the All-Area honorees. Hudson County’s top football program places 10 members on the squad, showing once again the dominance that the Marauders have shown over the past decade.
NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2, Group I state champion Hoboken is next with five honorees, followed by Lincoln and North Bergen with four each.

Corredor had 1,643 yards rushing and scored 22 touchdowns. He compiled 2,386 total yards (rushing, receiving and return yards) and 27 touchdowns. He is the school’s all-time rushing leader with 5,216 yards and all-time touchdown leader with 66.

The Hudson Reporter Coach of the Year is Lou Taglieri of Hoboken, who guided the Red Wings to a 10-2 record and his second state title as head coach. Taglieri also had to keep his team together through a trying time when the flood surge from Hurricane Sandy ravaged their home field, locker room and weight room. It’s a well deserved honor and a long time coming. – Jim Hague
