A funeral mass was offered Dec. 6 at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church, Bayonne, for Fred J. Schmidt, 75. He died Dec. 3 at Jersey City Medical Center, Jersey City. Born in Jersey City he was a lifelong resident. He was the husband of the late Mary E. Schmidt; father of Michael, Tara and Fred Schmidt; grandfather of Jadrian Scnmidt, Brittany La Rose, Sharde Schmidt, Victoria Schmidt, Michael Schmidt, Madison Schmidt, Madison Knueppel,and Alyssa Schmidt; brother of the late Donald Schmidt.
