A mass of Christian burial was performed Dec. 8 at St. Joseph’s Church for Joan C. Render. She passed away Dec. 4 at her home. A lifelong resident of Jersey City, Joan was a claims examiner for Basil Castrovinci Associates, Inc. for many years before retiring. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Render, Sr., her parents Mary and Richard Walsh and siblings, Mary Bremner, Peter and John Walsh. Joan is the mother of Robert, Jr., Michael and Timothy Render; mother in law of Beverly, Deborah and Theresa; grandmother of Rebecca, Timothy, Daniel, and Emily; sister of Richard Walsh and Marcella Vigna. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
