Odermatt rolls 300 game for Lyceum

In the most recent Lyceum Bowling League action on Jan. 2, Bob Odermatt started off the new year by joining the elite 300 club. Odermatt rolled off 12 strikes in a row in his final game of the night to score a perfect game of 300. Odermatt now joins a short list of only five other Lyceum bowlers who have reached the ultimate bowling goal of perfection. Odermatt previously bowled a perfect game in the Lyceum League in 1993, and now joins Tom Magarban as the only other Lyceum bowler to have attained the goal twice in Lyceum League play.
Tom Magarban also had a solid night, crushing the pins for games of 244, 280, and 215 for the high series of the night totaling 739.
The 600 series club for the night was: Dave Magarban, 671; Bob Martelli, 641; Jack Nilan, 618; Ken Zajac Jr., 611; John Kaczka, 608; and Matt Mayer, 604.
The 200 games of the night went to: Bob Baranauskas, 220; Emil Massa, 218; George Lavelle, 215; Joe Beebe, 214; Joe Lake, 212; Ed Lubach Sr., 209; and Ken Korzun, 205.

The team results are as follows: Broadway Bus took seven from Dworzanski’s Funeral Home; Kuhl’s Sports Tavern took four from Kiczek’s Esquires; Amspec Services LLC took four from Supreme Tours; John’s Midtown Tavern took four from Fryczynski’s Funeral Home; National Soda took five from Bridgemen Alumni; and Starting Point Bar & Grill claimed seven points.
