2012 was a year of triumphs in Hudson County high school sports. Championships for St. Anthony in basketball, Hoboken in football, and Marist in baseball were among the top stories, as well as the decision to strip North Bergen of the state football title they won in thrilling fashion in December 2011. Students excelled on the field and some graduated with scholarships to colleges. Competitions raised money for worthy causes, and local recreation departments continued to offer individual and team challenges to local youngsters. Check out these photos from the year in sports.
