North Bergen Free Public Library presents events and reading incentive

The Acoustic Concert featuring Adam Kowalczyk scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 26 has been rescheduled to Saturday, March 2 at 5 p.m. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. The North Bergen Public Library is located at 8411 Bergenline Ave. For more information contact the North Bergen Public Library at (201) 869-4715.
There will be a free Teen Movie Night on Wednesday, Jan. 23 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the lower-level conference room. Teens will be watching “I Am Number Four” which is a movie about an alien disguised as a teenager on Earth that discovers three of the last remaining members of his species.
Palermo Pizzeria & Restaurant has joined with the library’s Reading Incentive Program. The restaurant is located at 7407 Broadway and will give away a free slice of cheese pizza to any child once 10 books are checked-out. Upcoming Care-A-Van Screening scheduled

Harry’s Pharmacy, 7917 Kennedy Blvd, will sponsor a Care-A-Van screening on Tuesday, Jan. 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

New Jersey Meadowlands Commission schedules event

On Saturday, Feb. 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. teens and adults will be treated to “Midnight Landscapes” which will show the beauty of the season and include a relaxing afternoon of watercolor painting. Guests will be guided through simple landscape composition and a gentle approach to watercolors and will be able to leave with a small, finished work that captures the essence of winter. New Jersey Meadowlands Commission will provide the basic art supplies for the session or guests can bring their own.
Admission is $15 and $10 for MEC members. It will be held at the Meadowlands Environment Center which is located at 2 DeKorte Park Plaza in Lyndhurst.

Guttenberg announces Senior Bus Schedule

Seniors can take advantage of the town’s free bus service to visit various shopping locations from Monday through Friday. Guttenberg seniors can be picked up at 69th and Broadway; 68th and Boulevard East, 7005 Boulevard East, 7000 Boulevard East; 69th and Park Ave.; along with all of 68th or 70th Westbound to Bergenline.
