Three members of the Bayonne Recreation Swooshers Special Olympics alpine skiing team practiced their ploughs and wedges in preparation for the upcoming 2013 S.O.N.J. Chapter Winter Games. The on-snow practice and training session was contested at the Mountain Creek Ski Area in Vernon.
The Bayonne Recreation athletes who participated were Ronald Benitez, Samantha Ciemiecki, and Francheska Huentelaf. They were accompanied by their coaches John Valdora and Theresa Diaz, and assisted by Bob Tellman.
The Chapter Finals will be contested in early February at the Mountain Creek Ski Area.
