A funeral mass was held Feb. 19 at St. Lawrence Church for James J. Ivory of Union City, formerly of Jersey City. He passed away Feb. 15 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Ann (DeRuggiero), a son John and a daughter Kim Perez. He was predeceased by a sister, the late Eileen Berckes. Jim was also a grandfather to Deana, Andrew, Nicole and Max. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army two times, both during the Korean Conflict and later during peacetime. Back home he worked as a lithographer for Quality Press in Paterson for over 36 years. Retiring from Quality, he continued working for the Leber Funeral Home in Union City for several years and was still active there as well as being an active parishioner at St. Lawrence Church.
