HOBOKEN — The Hoboken Dunkin’ Donuts at 12th and Adams streets — one of four Dunkin’ Donuts in the mile-square city — gave away free beverages and food as part of their Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday morning. While a previous news report that they have been closed since Hurricane Sandy was incorrect, they were closed for a time, and the day was a thank-you to customers for waiting.
The line on Saturday morning was a block long.
It is hard to know if Hoboken has the most Dunkin’ Donuts shops per mile, although it beats out Somerville, Mass., whose local paper boasts of 3.4 Dunkins per mile. Boston probably has more. Various websites say that Massachusetts has 7.2 shops per mile, and Connecticut has a whopping 10.9.
