Re-elect Healy

Dear Editor:
I am writing this letter as a Jersey City resident of Ward F. This is submitted with all of my heart and with true positive feelings for our Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy.
I must state that Mayor Healy is a hard working public official who truly cares about the health, safety and well being of all residents. There are recent critical comments concerning the Mayor’s stance on “newcomers” to our city and these statements are certainly not true. The mayor cares for all and he is proud of the diverse populations we have in our city. He does not just talk about his concerns but acts on behalf of all whether they have been in Jersey City all their lives or just arrived. The Mayor states that all he wants to be is the Mayor of Jersey City and has no aspirations for any other type of office in contrast to his opponent who appears to be using our residents as a stepping stone for future ventures.
I must further state that I resent the statements made by the current Councilperson of Ward concerning that we possess criminal histories. Also it is evident that the opponent of Mayor Healy does not know that Hudson County under Director Oscar Aviles, Corrections and Director Ben Lopez, Family Services operate and have a Prisoner Reentry Program that include a number of Jersey City residents. Why would he want to duplicate the same effort when the current program is helping the residents.
I ask all residents of our great city to re-elect Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy in May, 2013.

Sincerely,
Darrel Black
