CALLAN, JEAN A.

Private funeral services have been held for Jean A. Callan, 62. She died March 23. Born in Vienna, Austria to Frank and Hildy DeCeuster, she was mostly a lifelong resident of Hoboken. Jean worked in New York as a dental hygienist at the offices of Dr. Alan Lubar and Dr. Burney Croll, where she will be sorely missed by all her patients and coworkers. As an avid scuba diver, she traveled to many places and had settled in England for a while where she loved its people, its culture, and its history. Jean adopted and loved many unclaimed dogs that were left totally alone by all; she was a true friend of the Hoboken Public Library. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Hildy of Hoboken. She leaves behind her brother Steven DeCeuster of Laurence Harbor; her nephews Erik, Ryan, and Troy DeCeuster; her friend Jenny Lahbibi of Westcliff by the Sea England; a very special friend Frank Monte Magno of Hoboken, and many more. Services arranged by the Lawton-Turso Funeral Home, Hoboken.
