Jersey City Library to hold presentation on famous kidnapping

JERSEY CITY AND BEYOND — While the Great Depression gripped the nation, the Lindbergh kidnapping case jockeyed for position as the Big Story.
In many ways, the Lindbergh kidnapping won its place in the annuals of history, including inspiring the Federal Kidnapping Act, commonly called the “Lindbergh Law,” making it a federal crime to transport a kidnapping victim across state lines.
Two experts on the Lindbergh kidnapping – Mark Falzini and James Davidson – will present on the book they co-authored, New Jersey’s Lindbergh Kidnapping and Trial, at the New Jersey Room of the Main Jersey City Library, 3rd Floor, 472 Jersey Ave. in Jersey City, on Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m.
The public is invited to hear Mark Falzini, one of the foremost experts on the Lindbergh kidnapping case and archivist in charge of the largest collection of documents pertaining to the case at the NJ State Police Museum, and James Davidson, local author, historian, and Lindbergh memorabilia collector who lives across from the Lindbergh estate.
