Street fair success

Dear Editor:
Even the cancellation of the first day of the 3rd Annual Hometown Street Fair did nothing to dampen the spirits of everyone who came down to enjoy Saturday and Sunday. Many of the vendors have written to us regarding what a wonderful town we have and how the people in the community could not have been more pleasant. Most of the vendors wrote to let us know how successful they were and how they want to be included next year.
From visiting clowns, Pink Tourists, rides, games, bands, shopping and a fabulous array of foods, we could not have asked for a better time. Of course the people who work so tirelessly to put this together – actually spending 6 months putting together the Memorial Day and the street fair.
The Memorial Day parade as well as the street fair turned out to be huge successes for the town and we can only hope that everyone took some time out of their busy schedules to enjoy them.
Our intent for the Memorial Day parade was to honor all of those people that have served and are still serving today and to make the day special for our 5 grand marshals. Our intent for the street fair was to entertain. We believe the events committee managed both.
All of these wonderful volunteers do this for Secaucus – because it is the where we love to live and raise our families.
A special thank to the USA Coast Guard Auxiliary and UNICO for providing us with their man power in running the games. They did a great job.
Please allow us to thank them by name, Regina Bator, Joan Cali, Susan Flanagan, John Flanagan, Mayor Mike Gonnelli, Greg Lentini, Vinny Massaro Jr., Judy Pascarello, Donna Przychodzki, Lori Trainor, Sheila Witrock and Cathy Wolf. And our honorary members Officer George Miller and Donna Zbierski.
We all thank you for allowing us to provide these events and apologize for any interruption we may have caused your businesses.

Thank you so much
