Funeral mass took place July 23 at the Church of Saint Pius X, Forked River, for Frank A. Messano, 63, of Forked River, formerly of Jersey City. He died July 19 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was an English teacher at Snyder High School and Dickinson High School, both of Jersey City, retiring five years ago. Surviving is his companion Sylvia; his mother Rosemarie Messano of Holiday City at Berkeley; his sister and brother in-law Patricia and Michael Zdrodowski, East Rutherford; his niece Toni Lyn, his great niece Megan and great nephew Dylan. Services arranged by the Layton’s Home For Funerals, Forked River.
