Funeral mass was held Aug. 6 at St. Joseph’s Church, Jersey City, for William “Billy” Deven. He passed away Aug. 2. He was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He was an altar server for St. Anthony’s, Church of the Resurrection, St. Ann’s and Holy Rosary Churches and a bingo caller at St. Joseph’s, St. Ann’s, and Holy Rosary Churches. He is predeceased by his siblings Margaret Flint and her husband Donald, Eileen Hennessy, and Frank and Donald Deven. Surviving are his nieces Loretta Siek and her husband Matthew and Kathleen Flint. Also survived by a host of grandnieces and grandnephews. Services arranged by the Michalski Funeral Home, Jersey City.
