SECAUCUS — Secaucus will host its annual 9/11 remembrance service on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the town’s 9/11 Memorial in front of the Secaucus Library and Business Resource Center, 1379 Paterson Plank Rd.
Mayor Michael Gonnelli and Assemblyman Vincent Prieto are expected to attend.
The annual ceremony is held to remember all the victims of the terrorist attack on Sept. 11, 2001, especially the several Secaucus residents whose lives were lost.
A reading of the names, brief remarks by Mayor Gonnelli and Assemblyman Prieto, a bag pipe procession with color guard, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the singing of the National Anthem are among the scheduled activities.
In addition, local religious leaders will offer an invocation and benediction, and taps will be played at the ceremony. –Joseph Passantino
