BALIK, DOMICELLA

(nee Lorenc), 92, of Bayonne passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, September 20, 2013, at the Bayonne Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Bayonne. Domicella was a graduate of Mt. Carmel Grammar School and Bayonne High School. She worked at the Defense Plant in Bayonne during World War II, and she was a secretary at the Casuality Insurance Company of New York. She was also a Crossing Guard for the City of Bayonne. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Senior Citizens Club, the Constable Hook Unity Club, and the Sons of Poland. Beloved Wife of the late George Balik Jr, Loving Mother of Jeffrey Balik and Clara Helbringer, Cherished grandmother of Christopher Balik, Jessica Balik, Colleen Balik, and Tawnya Baird. Great-Grandmother of Matthew Balik, Austin Baird, and Mia Baird. Dear Sister of Edward Lorenc, and the late Frances Lorenc, Henry Lorenc, and Catherine Varites. Tiewing was on Monday, September 23 at the G. KEENEN O’BRIEN Funeral Home, Bayonne. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church, Bayonne. Interment was at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
