‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star and Hoboken resident Caroline Manzo to get spinoff show focused on her sons

HOBOKEN – Hoboken’s been in the reality television spotlight more and more since “The Cake Boss” and “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” hit the air, and now a third show will feature the mile-square city: a “Real Housewives” spinoff featuring Caroline Manzo, the show’s de facto main character who lives in an apartment in Hoboken.
According to a report on the Hollywood gossip site The Wrap, the Bravo network has given a pilot episode of “Manzo’d with Children” the green light, paving the way for more screen time for Hoboken, as Manzo’s two sons, Chris and Albie, recently opened the Little Town, NJ restaurant on the Hudson riverfront. Chris and Albie live here as well.
“Apparently, her adult children are driving her more nuts than ever: Albie is single and ready to mingle, Chris is eager to come up with the best idea since the stripper/car wash and Lauren is ready to entertain the idea of letting Vito put a ring on it,” said the report.
The restaurant has been a subject of inter-familial scuffling on the show, as Albie and Chris try to live up to their father’s expectations by proving they can run a business successfully.
There’s not yet word if any of the other housewives will appear in the show. – Dean DeChiaro
