JERSEY CITY – Restaurateurs David Massoni and John Bush, along with chef Dale Talde have partnered with friends and longtime Jersey City residents Alfonso Carrino, Anthony Carrino, and John Colaneri, of HGTV, to open Talde Jersey City, a local outpost of the popular Talde in Brooklyn. The crew will open Talde Jersey City and Carrino Provisions, a neighboring Italian food market and restaurant, downtown next fall.
According to a Talde spokeswoman, the team chose Jersey City for its new venture because of the city’s vibrancy, which they found to be similar to Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood, where they already operate the original Talde, Thistle Hill Tavern, and Pork Slope. The group hopes to offer the downtown neighborhood a dining experience that is fun and unique, that also caters to the growing needs of the community. They further see this venture as an opportunity to be a part of the burgeoning culinary scene in Jersey City.
The site they have selected is 8 Erie St., which was a former police station for the Jersey City Police Department, for the restaurant and market
