In a year where the points were piling up, week 4 of the JCC of Bayonne’s Jr. Division Indoor Flag Football featured two defensive donny brooks as the (3-2) Colts battled the (1-3) Jets. As the Colts’ Ahmad McGill and the Jets’ Alejandro “See Ya” Cifuentes found their breakaway speed, bottled up QBs Kyle Arano (Colts) and Declan McCormick (Jets) set their sights on an air attack. After near misses with passes to Chris Ballance, Kasper Hooks, and Michael Aziz, the Colts’ Ahmad McGill finally sprang loose for a 15 yard TD sprint. The Jets followed suit with short tosses to Alanis Concepcion, Aaliyana Cifuentes, and the Stack brothers, Benjamin and Owen, to set up Alejandro Cifuentes’ 20 yard TD gallop. Dead locked at 6 all, the Colts’ Ahmad McGill put the wraps on a Colts’ 12-6 victory with a last second cost to coast TD sprint.
