A funeral mass was offered Nov. 30 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Marta Annese, 86, of Weehawken. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Born in Molfetta, Italy, Mrs. Annese immigrated to Hoboken in 1966, before settling in Weehawken in 1970. Marta was predeceased by her husband Pasquale. Surviving are two sons, Joseph and Mauro Annese; her daughter Diane Belgiovine; a brother, Rev. Giuseppe DeCandia (Italy), a sister, Maria Leone, and seven grandchildren: Paige, Christian, Michelle, Cristina, Vincent, Anthony, and Michael who were a great joy in Marta’s life, along with three wonderful great grand children Marta was also predeceased by two brothers; Oronzo and Corrado DeCandia. She will be sadly missed by her special sister-in-law, Angela Annese and her cousin Camilla Amato, both of Hoboken. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
