To the Editor:
Meghan Cotto and Lauren Greenbaum, both ten-year-old old students at Washington Community School, have been friends since kindergarten. Now in the fifth grade, they want to do something special for Christmas. Their wish is:
“For people to donate unwrapped toys, pajamas, and gift cards for our friends and I to wrap and deliver to children that will be in Robert Wood Johnson Hospital at Christmas time.”
Robert Wood Johnson has a great children’s unit, which we know from our own personal experience. Meghan had eye surgery there, and the staff was unforgettable! Couldn’t think of a better place to donate to!
We ask that anyone interested can contact Meghan’s mom Jennifer at (201)275-5309. We will pick up donations or make arrangements. Thank you in advance for warm-hearted donations, and making our girls’ wishes come true.
Makes you see the real meaning of Christmas to see a smile on a child’s face. It’s about giving, not receiving!
