Dear Editor:
On Nov. 25, a special meeting of the West New York Board of Education will be held at 4 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Administration Offices at 6028 Broadway, West New York. This meeting will be of great importance to all residents of the city, especially to parents whose children will become the beneficiaries of an open election and to our seniors who know the value of a good education in times such as these and the importance in spending money wisely not on overpaid and unqualified personnel.
The first positive step in giving West New York residents back their city was done on Nov. 5 when the people spoke and made West New York history by voting to have open Board of Education elections. Now, the Board of Education will discuss the procedure they will undertake to make this historic event a reality for the future of our children and our City.
It is rumored that members of the Roque Administration are instructing Board of Education members not to attend in an effort not to have a quorum resulting in no official actions taken.
I ask all residents to please attend this important meeting. We have come this far together and we are attracting more and more people like us each day that are no longer afraid to speak out for what is right and what is in our best interest. Let’s see who the puppets are. Let’s make sure the Board of Education acts upon what we the people have been asking for. We have already made West New York history. Now let’s make it right for our city and let’s get the process for this change going.
See you on the 25th at the Board of Education Meeting.
