To the Editor:
I am writing in reply to a letter that was published in last week’s edition of the Community News by John Sibik. Mr. Sibik cited a ton of fallacies and inaccuracies in his article.
Number one, Old School Bayonne, whatever that means, is long gone. It left when industry died. The problems Bayonne faces are problems that our country faces. We don’t make anything in America anymore. No mayor or councilperson can do anything about that. It is up to our federal leaders to bring industry back to America. You need to do a little more research and educate yourself about our democracy and our great country before you go throwing stones at people. You are off to a terrible start to your campaign. If you think you are going to knock people and offer no real solutions to the problems this town faces, think again. We won’t stand for politicians who bombastically spew negativity with nothing to offer in the sense of change. Let’s talk about the BLRA. It was a miserable failure and it was dissolved. That is the end of that story. Mr. Sibik, dwelling on the problems of ten years ago doesn’t fix the problems of today. Please be a better person and educate yourself before you start knocking others. Thank you.
