Hoboken and Jersey City open warming centers for residents exposed to brutal cold

HUDSON COUNTY – Jersey City and Hoboken opened three warming centers on Monday night in preparation for the frigid temperatures that by Tuesday morning had not risen above seven degrees.
Jersey City’s warming centers are located at the Pershing Field Community Center at the corner of Summit Avenue and Pershing Field Plaza, and the Mary McLeod Bethune Life Center, 140 Martin Luther King Drive.
Hoboken’s warming center is located at Wallace Elementary School, on the corner of Willow Avenue and 11th Street.
