A funeral mass was offered Jan. 17 at St. Nicholas Church for Michael John DiMase, 63. He passed away at his residence in Jersey City on Jan. 13. A lifelong Jersey City resident, Michael worked for the United States Postal Service until retiring in 2004. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Catherine DiMase and his sister Patricia Cook. He is survived by his wife, Ellen DiMase; sons, Michael John DiMase, Jr. and his wife Ann, Mark William DiMase and his wife Theresa and Matthew Nicholas DiMase and his wife Erika; brothers, Richard DiMase and his wife Roseann and Fred DiMase (JCPD) and his wife Jackie; grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Paige, Michael John, III, Catherine, Brandon and Theresa; brother-in-law Victor Cook and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends too numerous to mention.
