Thank you for your help and support

Dear Editor:
I am writing to thank the residents of the 33rd Legislative District for their unwavering support throughout my tenure as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly. It has truly been an honor and a privilege to serve as a representative of this great district for the past six years. It is my sincere hope that my constituents share my belief that I have always voted with their best interests in mind.
The first piece of legislation I introduced that was signed into law requires automatic enrollment of New Jersey seniors in our state’s prescription drug assistance program. The final bill of mine that will become law allows New Jersey’s cities and towns to help finance the construction of flood resistance measures for homeowners and businesses. In between these two bookend accomplishments, I have sponsored or co-sponsored hundreds of bills, listened to countless hours of committee testimony, and worked diligently to make sure the municipalities in my district got their fair share of appropriations.
My last day in Trenton will be on Monday, January 13th, when I will be casting my last votes as a state lawmaker. On Tuesday, the newly elected members of the Assembly and Senate will be sworn in and my third and final term in office will officially be over. While I am looking forward to having lots more free time to spend with my family, I will always look back on these past six years as time where I acted as a proud servant of the public. And for giving me the opportunity to do that, I would like to thank each and every person who helped and supported me along the way.

Very truly yours,
Ruben J. Ramos, Jr.
Assemblyman, 33rd Legislative District
