Parts of Hudson River are frozen for second day (no politicians have been blamed)

HUDSON COUNTY – A rare event occurred today and Thursday morning: Parts of the Hudson River froze. This shot shows the 14th Street ferry dock in Hoboken. The ferries were still running. But not everything continued normally: Two days ago, ice chunks in the river caused officials to temporarily suspend construction on the foundation of the Tappan Zee Bridge.
