Ceimicki, Czucza, and Hueltelaf lead Special Swooshers to victory at Chapter Winter Games

Samantha Ciemiecki, Jody Czucza and Francheska Huyentelaf, led an eleven–member contingent representing the Bayonne Recreation Swooshers Special Olympics Alpine Skiing/Snowshoeing teams, by each copping two gold medals at the recently-held 2014 SONJ Chapter Winter Games.

The event was contested at the Mountain Creek Ski/Snowdrop Area in Vernon, N.J. The results:

The Snowshoeing Venue:
100-M Event: 6th Place – Jovanni Torres
5th Place – Nicole Bawiec
3rd Place (Bronze Medal) – Searra Battle, Ian Hudacko, Dina Tryon and Elaina Walsh
1st Place (Gold Medal) – Jody Czucza and Barbara Mari.
200-M Event: 6th Place – Jovanni Torres and Dina Tryon
3rd Place (Bronze Medal) – Siearra Battle and Elaine Walsh
2nd Place (Silver Medal) – Nicole Bawiec, Ian Hudacko and Barbara Mari
1st Place (Gold Medal) – Jody Czucza.

The Alpine Skiing Venue:
Super – G: 4th Place – Ronald Benitez
1st Place (Gold Medal) – Samantha Ciemiecki and Francheska Huentelaf.
Giant Slalom: 3rd Place (Bronze Medal) – Ronald Benitez
1st Place (Gold Medal) – Samantha Ciemiecki and Francheska Huentelaf.

The Swooshers were accompanied to the meet by their very proud coaches, John Valdora, Theresa Diaz, Denise Bawiec and Tony Torres.
