BLEICH, OLIE

Funeral mass was offered Jan. 23 at Our Lady of Mercy Church for Olie Bleich, 83. He died Jan. 19 at Bayonne Medical Center. Born in New York City, he lived in Jersey City the last 54 years. He was a platform worker and driver for W.T. Cowan Trucking Co. Jersey City for 15 years before retiring. Prior to that he worked 18 years for Emerson Television, downtown Jersey City. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He loved being outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was a wonderful bistro chef. He enjoyed being with his family. His constant companions were his cats, “The Jedi and Maddy” and his dog Xena. He was an avid boxing, N.Y. Yankees and N.Y. Giants fan. Special thanks to Drs. Adaniel, Dedousis and Wong. He was the husband of Jennie Medrano Bleich; father of Jennifer Brower and her late husband Michael, Gregory Bleich and his wife Jackie and Douglas Bleich and his wife Barbara. grandfather of Kyle, Gregory, Michael, Rocco, Brittany and Summer; brother of the late Kenneth Bleich; brother-in-law of Barbara Bleich.
