Thanks for the sensory movie

To the Editor:

I would love to extend a warm thank you to Mike Bruckler, general manager of Frank’s Theatres, South Cove, Bayonne, for providing the first-ever sensory movie showing (of the movie “Walking with Dinosaurs” this past weekend). At a sensory showing, the lights are dimmed but not off, the sound is lowered, and there are no trailers. The audience is allowed to make sounds, noise, etc. without being quieted. I think I speak for the special-needs community and parents when I say we are very appreciative. Everybody at Frank’s was super helpful and nice, and the families all had a great time. I know my son and I did. We even have a date for the next sensory movie showing of “The Nut Job,” February1, at 10 a.m.
