A funeral mass took place Feb. 20 at the Church of the Visitation, Brick Township, for Ethel F. O’Connor, 83 of Brick Township, and Lantana, Fla. She died Feb. 14 at her home. Born and raised in Hoboken, Ethel moved to Bayville in 1998 and in 2003 relocated to Florida. Ethel was a school clerk for Connors School of the Hoboken Department of Education from 1967, retiring in 1998. While residing in Hoboken, Ethel was involved with the community on many levels, also as a committee woman and den mother. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Walter J. O’Connor in 2003. She is survived by her sons, Patrick M. O’Connor (Dolores), Edward J. O’Connor (Anita), James P. O’Connor (Debbie) and Robert J. O’Connor (Dana); her daughters, Kathleen T. O’Connor and Mary Ellen F. O’Connor and her grandchildren, Richard, Joseph, Timothy, Jeanine, Jaime, Christian, Jillian, Lauren, Edward, Kristen, Erin and Diana; fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great children.
