HOBOKEN AND WEEHAWKEN — Friday was going to be a makeup day for Hoboken school district students, since they had two snow days last week. It was originally an in-service teacher training day that the Board of Ed voted on Tuesday night to change into a half day for students.
So much for that plan!
The Hoboken and Weehawken schools both announced Thursday night that in anticipation of snow overnight and treacherous roads, school would be closed Friday, for the second day in a row. With Presidents’ Day on Monday, that’s a five-day weekend for those lucky kids.
Other nearby districts had not made an announcement as of this writing on Thursday night. Check the districts’ websites for updates.
