Funeral mass took place Feb. 11 at Our Lady of Libera Church, West New York, for Philomena “Phyllis” Gentile, 95, of New Milford, formerly of West New York. She passed away Feb. 6. She was the wife of the late Dominick Gentile; sister of Joseph and his wife Dorothy and the late Frank and Marie Pennetta. Born and lived most of her life in West New York, she was a long time member of the Holy Rosary Society of Our Lady of Libera Church. She was the mother of Joseph A. Gentile and his wife Donna, Anthony Gentile and Dolores Kauffunger; grandmother of Steven, Dennis and Susan (Blog) Kauffunger and Rick, Christopher and Nicholas Gentile; great grandmother of Jillian and Nicole. Also survived by many more relatives and friends. Services arranged by the Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.
