At (2-0), the Wizards hold the top spot in the JCC of Bayonne’s Indoor Soccer Jr. Division. For the (1-1) Knights, they hoped to avenge a 7-2 week one defeat at the hands of the Wizards. In the early going, both teams traded goals with T. J. Wolf cashing in off an assist by Declan McCormick for the Wizards while the Knights got on the board via an Angel Martinez penalty boot. Over the course of the next fifteen minutes, the Knights’ defense held strong with Aaliyana Cifuentes, Alanis Concepcion, and Josue Belber ball hawking like pros. With the Knights holding firm, the Wizards finally kicked their game into high gear as T. J. Wolf (3) and Declan McCormick (3) went on a 6 goal scoring frenzy to lift the Wizards out to a 7-1 advantage. The Knights kept plugging away inspite of the scoreboard and their effort soon paid off as Raquel Belber assisted team Captain Alejandro “See Ya” Cifuentes on his sixth goal of the season. Leading by five goals, the Wizards fortified their defense with Harsh Easwar and Michael Cordero entrenched at sweeper as the 7-2 victory tightened the now (3-0) Wizards’ grip on first.
