Funeral services were held March 6 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Roy Lee Franklin, 86, of Jersey City. He passed away Feb. 26. He was employed by the Steel Laundry company in Jersey City for 47 years. Mr. Franklin loved his family and cared for them very much. Husband of the late Charity Franklin. Father of Steve Franklin, Larry Franklin, Darren Franklin, Lilly Longer and Velma O’Neal. Brother of Bernadell Norwood. Also survived by 35 grandchildren, 51 great-grands, six great-great grands and a host of many other relatives and friends. Services arranged by the Watson Mortuary Service, Jersey City.
