The funeral liturgy was performed April 7 at Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church, Wood-Ridge, for Madalena Palombella, 85, a fifty year resident of Weehawken. She passed away suddenly on April 3. Madalena was born in Molfetta, Italy, the daughter of Pasquale and Serafina Binetti and came to the United States in 1947. Madalena has a husband of sixty-three years, Onofrio. She was beloved by her friends and especially her daughters; Sara Provost of Carlstadt, Elizabeth Vallone of New City, N.Y., Ann Marie Attilio of Doylestown, Pa., and Louise Novotny of Harding as well as her sons-in-law Robert Vallone, Patrick Attilio and James Novotny. She was adored by her grandchildren and their spouses: Renee Ravenello (Christopher), Katherine Offield (Tony), Carolyn Thomasey (Michael), Michael Attilio (Elizabeth), Patrick Attilio (Stephanie) and Laura and Andrew Novotny. She was the great grandmother of Daniel, Bethany, Natalie, Jakob and Jared. Madalena was welcomed into heaven by her predeceased grandsons; Robert Vallone and Daniel Attilio, her brother; Guilio Binetti and her sister; Maria Gadaleta.
Before retiring, she was a seamstress and a loyal member of the Senior Citizens Club in Weehawken. Services arranged by the Costa Memorial Home, Hasbrouck Heights.
