Funeral mass took place April 3 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hoboken, for James G. Crosson, 65, of Oak Ridge, formerly of Hoboken. He passed away March 24. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Hoboken most of his life before enlisting the US Army. James was a US Army Vietnam veteran and devoted all of his life to Veterans Affairs. He was involved with numerous American Legion and Disabled American Veteran Groups. He was the Commanding Chief of the Chapter 33 – Purple Heart, former State Commander for the Purple Heart, and was an Outreach Counselor for the Jersey City Veterans Center. He also worked for the N. Plainfield Fire Department Maintaining Fire Protection Equipment and the West Milford EMT Squad. Above all, James was a proud, diehard American Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Darren Crosson, Sherry Crosson, Melissa McCaslin and Bradley Gale and his wife Jen; his grandchildren, Linsey Hoerath, Sheena Chartier, Jimmy and Levi Steerman. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Services arranged by the Earl F. Bosworth Funeral Home, Hoboken.
