Help the shelter! PERC’s annual gala dinner is fast approaching

HUDSON COUNTY — The Palisades Emergency Residence Corporation (PERC) is holding their annual fundraising dinner, “An Evening of Hope,” on Wednesday, May 21 at the Waterside Restaurant in North Bergen.
PERC offers meals and shelter to needy citizens throughout Hudson County and can always use additional assistance and donations. Last year the PERC shelter provided more than 21,000 shelter nights, served more than 96,000 meals, provided more than 13,000 families with groceries, and offered an afterschool program for Hudson County children.
This year at the gala, PERC is honoring two organizations that are true supporters of PERC and champions of people in need: the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, and New Jersey Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
The evening will include a reception, dinner and awards, plus a silent auction and raffle. It will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21 at Waterside Restaurant, 7800 River Road in North Bergen.
Individual tickets are $150 each, with ads and sponsorships available. For tickets or for more information about the event or PERC, visit percshelter.org or call (201) 348-8150. –Art Schwartz
