70, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014, in the arms of his wife, at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Bayonne, Daniel was a lifelong resident. Daniel is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sophie Ahern (nee: Dabkowski); and his sons, Michael Richard Ahern, and his wife, Meg, and Daniel Edward Ahern, and his wife, Tina. He was predeceased by his father, Daniel A. Ahern, and his in-laws, Janina and Walenty Dabkowski, his loving mother, Jean Ahern (nee: Esposito); his grandchildren, Michael and Maggie Ahern; his siblings, Benjamin Ahern, and his wife, Sharon, Carol Ahern, and Barbara Gelenites, and her husband, John; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted by BAYONNE Memorial Home, Inc, 854 Avenue C, Bayonne. Entombment, Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.
