Tropical storm forms near Florida, may brush New Jersey coast as Hurricane Arthur

The first named Tropical Storm of 2014 formed on Tuesday near Florida. Whether it will pose any threat to the Northeast remains to be seen. However, the National Hurricane Center has posted a track that shows it may impact the South Jersey coast over the weekend as a hurricane.
