CAMPANELLA, ANTHONY P.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated July 14 at St. John the Baptist Church for Anthony P. Campanella, 93. He passed away at the Jersey City Medical Center on July 9. Born in Jersey City, Anthony remained a lifelong Jersey City resident. He served in WWII in the United States Air Force. Anthony worked for 37 years as a dining room captain for Harry M. Stevens, Inc. at Monmouth Park, Atlantic City and Garden State before retiring in 1996. Anthony was predeceased by his parents, Dominick and Rose Campanella; brother Paul Campanella and sister, Justina Campanella. He is survived by his cousins, Nicholas DeBello, Paul and Catherine Finorio, May Baker and Frank Simone and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
