Funeral services were held Aug. 15 for Joseph T. Kruk, 83, of Jersey City. He died Aug. 12 at Newton Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, Mr. Kruk was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He was a custodian for the United States Post Office in Kearny for over 20 years before his retirement. He had previously worked as a printer for the N.J. Print Company in the Lafayette section of Jersey City. Mr. Kruk served in the Army of Engineers during the Korean Conflict. The son of the late Joseph George Kruk and Monica Kruk, Mr. Kruk was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Kruk in 2006. He is survived by five children, Joseph T. Kruk, Jr., of Jackson Heights, New York, James Kruk of Jersey City, Valerie Mondanaro of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, William Kruk of Long Island, New York, and Daniel Kruk of West Orange; four grandchildren, Stephanie Grassi, Jennifer Mondanaro, William Kruk and Michael Kruk; and one sister, Monica Punko of Hazlet.
